This Sexist Job Listing Actually Appeared On LinkedIn

Attention, working women: The 1950 s are back — at least in the description of one LinkedIn job scheduling.

The post, advertising an opening for a Content Writer& SEO Specialist for patronage web pattern companionship Vistra Inet, scheduled abilities one might dream would be required for such a position: “Writing ability, ” “Computer knowledge, ” “Knowledge of social media, ” “Superior administrative cleverness, ” “Ability to work independently and in coordination with a team, ” etc.

But at the bottom of the announce, there was one curious sentence: “Please note that the Position requires crowding in the responsibilities of a receptionist, so female candidates are preferred.” ( Discover a screenshot of the post, which had now been been removed, below, as tweeted by Business Insider’s Caroline Moss .)

For some silly conclude we presumed abilities had no gender, and that in 2015 business would realize that! Guess “its just” wishful thinking.

Perhaps Vistra Inet needs a reminder that both men and women can be receptionists — or doctors or healers or advocates or hair stylists or anything else.

The Huffington Post has reached out to Vistra Inet for comment.
