Charles Manson, Imprisoned Mass-Murdering Cult Leader, Dies

Charles Manson, the imprisoned wild-eyed sect leader who masterminded the 1969 slaughters of actress Sharon Tate and six other people in Los Angeles, has died. He was 83.

Manson croaked of natural movements at 8: 13 pm Pacific time on Nov. 19 at Kern County Hospital, according to a statement from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He was performing a life sentence at a regime prison in California.

Atkins told fellow captives that the Manson family planned to kill other Hollywood aces to facilitate prompt the racial holocaust Manson foresaw. She died in a women’s confinement in 2009.

Manson’s trial began in June 1970. After a trouble characterized by the giggling and pouts of the defendants, Manson was convicted of first-degree assassination in January 1971.
